On Thursday May 8th, Whitney officially received her white coat at the White Coat Ceremony. Receiving the white coat signifies that Optometry students have met all of the qualifications in order to enter the eyecare clinic and begin seeing patients!! Mom and Brian were both in attendance for the ceremony.
For the summer I will be working in the clinic every Thursday. To date, I have worked two full days, and seen two patients. (both still living and seeing after having seen me!!) It has been a little slow in the clinic; the weather has not been all that accommodating for patients to travel in either.
